Todd Estes is the founding attorney of the Law Office of M. Todd Estes, P. C. in Sherman, Texas, where he practices in the areas of estate planning, probate, guardianships, and corporate law and business organizations. Todd is licensed to practice in Texas and Oklahoma.
Todd enjoys being able to use his legal expertise to help his clients plan for their peace of mind. In addition to a wealth of knowledge and technical skill, Todd brings caring, compassion and integrity to the practice of law.
Todd's estate planning practice includes preparation of simple Wills, power of attorney documents and Revocable Trusts, as well as drafting complex estate plans for individuals and couples with taxable estates to help them minimize or eliminate their estate tax exposure. Todd also designs estate plans that include life insurance trusts, special needs trusts for disabled beneficiaries, trusts for beneficiaries who are minors, and charitable planning. Todd's probate practice includes the probate of Wills, estate administrations, and handling heirship matters for those who die without a Will. Todd's business practice includes the formation of limited liability entities for business owners.
Todd graduated from Sherman High School in 1986 and from Austin College in 1990 with a double major in Political Science and Business Administration. Todd attended Baylor Law School, where he graduated in 1993.
Todd is a member of the College of the State Bar of Texas, a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Grayson County Bar Association.
Todd has also been actively involved in other community organizations, having served on the Sherman Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the Child Guidance Center of Texoma Board of Directors, the Texoma Medical Center Foundation Board, The Rehabilitation Center Board of Directors, and the Advisory Board of the Sherman Education Foundation. At the request of various community organizations throughout the Texoma area, Todd has made numerous seminar presentations on estate planning and probate topics. Todd is also the Music Director at Faith Church in Sherman.
Todd and his wife Jennifer reside in Sherman with their two children, Emily and Nicholas.
